Have you heard about a GPS-guided travel articles app? Well, they are a huge hit right now and I’m about to tell you all about it.
The first time I heard about this app, I was like ‘whuuuut?’. What the hell is this app and why do people even need it? Turns out, it is quite a handy thing to have while travelling.
How many times have you read an article online about a place and wished that you could experience all of it yourself? I know I have.
Or remember those times when you read in one of the articles or blog posts about a very cool place or a cafe but you couldn’t find the correct address? Apparently, there is an app that can help you with all of that. How convenient!
So today I want to introduce you to GPSMyCity which is a GPS-guided travel articles app that you need to try out.

What is GPSMyCity?
This is an app which embeds coordinates of various objects of interest or sightseeing spots into articles. Basically, it’s an app filled with guided walks around different cities. This app has been here for a while and now have over 6,000 walks in 750+ cities around the world. You download the app, chose an article and it guides you around the city. Simple as that!
You can choose “Sightseeing Walks” or “Shopping Walks” and the app will take you to see the monuments, the best spots in town and all the places that very mentioned in that article. So you can read about that place and experience it at the same time.
The best about this? It works offline too!
For a small fee (around $2), you don’t need to have an internet connection or wifi to read those articles, they are easily accessible offline which is amazing. It can be hard to find a good internet connection in a foreign country.

Why should I use travel article apps?
Well, I’m glad you asked. I’m one of those travellers who enjoy experiencing the city on their own without having to carry maps, sticky notes and a lot of papers with different notes about the places or directions. If you’re anything like me, you will love these apps.
Reason #1 – You can read travel articles offline anywhere you go
Like I mentioned before, it can be difficult to find a good internet connection in a foreign country. Travel article apps give you access to read those articles or blog posts offline. So if you have your favourite travel blog and you want to read it while exploring the city, you can do it easily. Those articles become your guides!
Reason #2 – You can save some money
If you tend to get yourself some excursions or tours, these apps are a great alternative for them. They are your personal guides and with a small upgrade fee, you can experience the same things that you would if you got on an expensive city tour.
Reason #3 – You can go at your own pace
Kind of relating to the tours as well. You don’t need to go on a tour and go through everything fast. You can do it on your own, take your time and enjoy the city as long or as fast as you want to.
Reason #4 – You don’t need to spend time on a long research
We can all agree that planning a trip or a day out in a city can take up a lot of time. Especially if you want to visit or see a lot of places. Apps like GPSMyCity do basically everything for you. You just find an article which you think suits your needs the most, you download it and it guides you everywhere. No need to spend time finding directions, searching for the best routes and so on.
Pin this and let others know!
