The best flights search engine, hands down. Skyscanner lets you search the cheapest flights anywhere from your location and gives you an opportunity to see prices for the entire month.
Kiwi.com is unique flight search engine that finds the best routes from various non-partnered airlines that take you from point A to point B. This way you can find the cheapest deal!
Google Flights is another tool that I use quite frequently when I want to find cheap fares. You can use it to check prices based on your location, your time limit and so on. Very versatile and worth checking out if you’re flexible with time and price.
Airfare watchdog is great for finding error fares and sales. Perfect tool for people travelling from USA or UK. It also sends you alerts when the prices get lower if that’s something you’re interested in.
Accomondation
HostelWorld is all you need for finding the best hostels all over the world. Quick and easy navigation and the best prices when it comes to hostels.
Booking.com is my go-to platform for finding hotels, guesthouses and even apartments in locations where hostels aren’t that widespread. You can use various filters like location, monuments, wi-fi and so on when searching for the best deal.
Airbnb is an alternative for hostels and hotels if you’re travelling long time. You can find the best deals if you’re booking as a group (2+ people). Use my referral link to save $25 towards your first booking!
Agoda is great for finding hotels, hostels or other type of accomondation that aren’t listed in other booking websites. It is the best option for Southeast Asia.
Transportation
Flixbus is probably the cheapest bus provider in Europe and USA. You can get tickets as low as $5. If you are on a strict budget, Flixbus is the way to go.
Omio (former GoEuro) is my absolute favourite website for searching the best transportation option from point A to point B. You can compare prices between train, bus and flight options. Use my link and get 10 EUR off your first booking!
Eurail is the best rail tickets and passes provider in Europe. If you plan on taking a lot of trains in Europe, then buying a pass could be the best option that will save you quite a bit of money.
Seat 61 (aka The Man in Seat Sixty-One) is a no-bullshit website which covers every aspect of rail travelling in Europe and all around the world. You can find all the information you need to plan your trip.
Auto Europe is one of the best car rental websites worldwide. You can find the cheapest and the best options in various locations all around the world.
BlaBlaCar is a ride-sharing website/app in Europe. You can find drivers that are going to the direction you need and pay a small fee for a lift. The app saved my life in Poland.
Luxexpress is bus provider which is mainly based in Baltic States and Poland. It is my go-to provider when I am travelling in these regions. The most affordable prices and the best quality service.
Trip Planning
You can never go wrong with Lonely Planet guidebooks when planning your next trip. They are popular choice for all price range travelers and can be a great resource in any stage of your trip.
One website that I always use is TripAdvisor. It is the best resource website for finding any type of information for your trip: recommendations, reviews, hotels, experiences and much more.
Rome2rio is a good journey planning website when you want to compare which means of transportation is the cheapest or fastest for your route. This website helped me find the best bus carriers in Europe.
BudgetYourTrip is my new found love. This website calculates the average prices from all around the world. You can check how much approximately can spend on food, living, attractions based on your budget.
TUI Holiday Checklist – if you want a very comprehensive checklist for your upcoming holiday, this is an interactive tool that gives you suggestions based on where you’re going, for how long and what type of trip you’re taking. Handy tool to have if you like to be 100% prepared for your holiday.
Tours and activities
GetYourGuide is one of the best ways to find tours, activities or experiences for a particular destination. I use it to find the best deal for the price I want to pay. It’s super easy to use and has thousands of options to choose from.
Viator is another company that is similar to GetYourGuide. If you can’t find what you’re looking, Viator will most likely have it. Simply to use as well and a popular choice for whose who want to explore European destinations.
Travel Insurance & Travel Card
World Nomads is the most popular option for budget travelers from USA or UK. It’s very flexible and covers more than just health issues which is an amazing deal considering the price. It’s super easy to sign up and use, as well.
SatefyWing provides travel medical insurance for nomads, no matter where you are based at the moment. It is currently available in 180 countries and can be purchased while already traveling. Best of all, SatefyWing functions like subscription services at an affordable price of $56.28 for every 4 weeks which is a pretty good deal if you ask me.
Revolut is the only card I use while travelling. Why? Because it allows me to withdraw money from any ATM abroad without any fees up to 200 EUR per month, you can easily use it to pay in over 150 countries with the best exchange rate and a super small fee of 0.5% for anything above 6,000 EUR each month. Plus, it has an app that is so easy to use. The standard plan costs absolutely nothing (the one I use)! Get a free Revolut card and free 5 EUR to your account if you sign up using my link. This card changed my life.
Essentials
Amazon is probably the best place to find travel gear. First things first, I use Travelite cabin suitcase and Quechua backpack when I travel But Amazon is full of great luggage options and backpacks.
Universal portable adapter is an absolute must while travelling! Believe me, you really don’t want to get to your destination after a long trip only to realise that the socket is different and you have no idea how to charge your devices.
Padlocks are super important if you’re budget traveller. If you’re staying in hostels, you might need a lock for lockers and it is handy to have one instead of renting one at the front desk. These simple ones will do just fine!
If you want to save some money and be more sustainable while travelling, resuable water bottle is a must. I use a simple one from Tiger but this one looks great as well.
Decathlon is one of my go-to websites when it comes to hiking, backpacking or camping gear as well as comfortable clothes for travelling or hiking. Good quality staples for an affordable price.
Blogging

Elegant Themes is a great platform for finding WordPress Themes that look proffesional and don’t take a genius to work with. Super easy to use technology and completely customizable themes.
