IT’S FRIDAY! Hallelujah.
How are you doing my friends? I hope you are enjoying your week and are looking forward to the weekend. I know I am. I am already planning how long I’ll sleep and what blogging work I’ll get my hands on to.
Speaking of blogging work, I still haven’t done the change I am planning to do for my blog but it’s work in progress, so please be patient. I know that my front page is all messed up but since I know nothing about coding, I can’t fix it and no one seems to know how to help me as well. So until I make the change I’ll have to deal with this kind of situation for a while. But a new beginning is near.
Now let’s get to the little gems I found this week from the Internet. First of all, on Wednesday I and my two best friends celebrated 12 years friendship anniversary that you may already have known about from my Instagram (@thenerdymeblog) and Snapchat (@thenerdyme_blog). Let’s just say that a lot of drinks, food and laughter were involved. Oh, and a cake. We’ve been best friends for 12 years now and that’s a freaking accomplishment! I hope that we will celebrate not only 20th but 60th anniversary as well in the future. Now if you are wondering how to build a strong friendship or to keep it alive, I found a great article with few habits you should adopt in order to achieve this. I must say that we do most of these, so this is a must read if you are struggling in the friends department. You can find the article here.
If you are pretty damn proud of your friendship and don’t think that you need to change anything, then maybe you are struggling with love. 365 Affairs shared a very intimate and personal post about her love life and it’s the most heart-breaking and beautiful post I read this week. Monika is a very strong girl and she deserves the best. So if you feel like something is not right with your relationship or even friendship, read Monika’s post and let her teach you about the art of letting go.
I feel like I made you feel sad and depressed now… I’m sorry! But the next post I’m going to talk about is going to change it all around. You know the days when you feel like crap or when your favorite blog makes a post about sad things that make you feel all types of down and melancholic? Yeah… I represent you Bookmarks for Crappy Days! This girl is a genius because she didn’t make a post on what to do when you feel crappy. No. She did something better! She created a post filled with fun links to reads, listens and more to make you feel better and boost your mood a little. Go and bookmark this post, you will never know when it will come handy.
Now that you saved and pin’ed and did all that jazz, I want to share another boyfriend makeup tag with you. I’ve been obsessed with this tag! I always have such a great laugh while reading these types of posts. Men’s logic and makeup knowledge never stop to amaze me. How can you now laugh your bottom off while reading it?! I highly suggest giving this tag by Lindsey Elyse a read. So so worth it. I mean, don’t you want to know what product ‘goes on your face to fill the craters’?
Another thing I want to talk about is how amazingly delicious do these Oreo Cupcakes look like?! I mean, come on! I would devour one right now. Well, maybe few. Going to try out this recipe for sure in the future, are you? If food doesn’t excite you as much as me – is it even possible? – I am sure that this post by The Mayden will. Look how gorgeous she looks. And the quality of those photos. Can you believe that they were made by her mother? I swear she needs to become a photographer or something. Also, can I get a photoshoot from her as well, May? Haha, jokes aside, May’s blog is all types of inspirational and wonderful and she’s a true icon if I can call her like this. Go give her blog and this post a read. Won’t be disappointed.
LIFE UPDATE: Nothing too exciting has happened this week. Except for our friendship anniversary and camping trip last weekend. Still working on my blog change as I mentioned in the beginning of this post. OHH! How could I forget!? I graduated on Wednesday as well!! I am officially out of school and ready to get into uni. I sent my application and now all I can do is wait till I know if I’ve been accepted or not. Fingers crossed. Work has been tiring as always but now I feel like I got used to it and it doesn’t wear me off so much as it did at the first two weeks. Look at me becoming an adult and all.
What have you been up to? Will you be baking these cupcakes?
What’s the longest friendship you have/had?
