Snacking. Don’t we all love it?

I can’t imagine my day without having some kind of snack in between lectures or while working. Plus, it’s quite healthy to snack something light throughout the day. As long as it isn’t 5 bars of chocolate…

So today I decided to share some of my favourite snacks that I opt for when I feel a bit hungry. The best part is that these snacks are guilt-free. Yes, these things exist. Well, some of the things might not be completely guilt-free (let the girl live a bit!) but they won’t do as much damage as a pack of Lay’s chips.

Eat Real Vegan Chips

Now, I am not a fan of chips and I rarely do eat them, however, these ones are the winners for me. Eat Real have a variety of snacks with my favourite ones being Hummus Chips, Lentil Chips and Veggie Straws (Kale, Tomato, Spinach and Potato). These chips taste heavenly and even my friends who stay away from anything with a word ‘healthy’ on it found them amazing.

All Eat Real snacks are gluten-free and suitable for vegans. Most importantly the snacks are made from real, natural ingredients and without any additives such as artificial colouring, flavouring or preservatives. Seriously, you need to try them if you haven’t already.

Wheat and Corn Cakes

One of the reasons why I adore wheat cakes so much is because they remind me of my kindergarten days. My teachers used to eat wheat cakes and drink coffee during their break, so wheat cakes’ scent always brings me back to the good old days when my only problem in life was having to take a nap against my will.

Anyway. Wheat cakes are amazing with peanut butter on top or with avocado. Apparently, wheat cakes aren’t as innocent and as healthy as everyone ought to think they are but a piece or two once in a while won’t do much damage. My favourite ones are from a Lithuanian brand NATURE iš gamtos. They make wheat cakes with spreads on top and the best one that I would recommend for you all to try is coconut flavoured. It is outstanding!

Also, I’ve recently discovered Milikuku brand which makes sweet corn cakes. They have chocolate, white chocolate and banana flavoured cakes and I’m sure you can all guess which ones are my favourites. It doesn’t get better than corn cakes with a banana spreading on top.

Selga Nature oat pastry biscuits

These biscuits are perfect for snacking. You can eat them alone, you can top them with peanut butter (I love that stuff), homemade jam or anything that comes to your mind. I’m sure you can even make a cake out of these biscuits.

The best thing about them is that they are made from natural and unprocessed products. So you can enjoy these without any guilt. Selga Nature also has rye grain pastry biscuits but I found them a bit too dry to eat alone. But if rye grain is more your type, you can try those as well.

Now I know that you might be thinking. Popcorn, really? What if I told you that popcorn can actually be quite healthy and good for your nutrition?

I’m not talking about those big buttery popcorn boxes that you get when you go to the cinema. Those are faaaaar away from healthy, however, natural and plain popcorn holds the title of the healthiest snack as it is a source of whole grain and polyphenols.

Since I got a popcorn machine, it’s fairly easy for me to pop some popcorn whenever I feel like snacking. Of course, I stay away from oils or any other unneeded additives. Another option is buying already made popcorn that is still healthy like SkinnyPop popcorn. They have a huge variety of popcorn which is gluten-free, nut free, dairy free and even high-fibre. So not only tasty but also very much guilt-free snack.

Veri Beri fruit stripes

If you like something more on the sweet side, then you going to love Veri Beri products. This brand makes fantastic 100% fruit stripes with no additives, preservatives or artificial flavourings, colourings.

There are quite a few product options: strawberries, raspberries, black currants, apple and cinnamon, apple and peppermint (my personal favourites), cherries. I can guarantee that all of these stripes are super delicious and way healthier than any other candy out there.

Veri Beri is a perfect choice for me because I have a very big sweet tooth when it comes to gummies. So if you’re like me, you need to give these stripes a try. I believe that you can find them in Lithuania, Estonia, Russia, Denmark, Poland and Spain at the moment.
