There are lots of things I want to do. And there are lots of things I need to do. Therefore, there are things I want to do more, but can’t because I have to do other things. And one of those things is reading. I want to read more books. I love reading. I love flipping through pages and getting more and more engrossed with the plot. I love finding myself pitying, laughing with, smiling at and even getting angry at characters. I used to read so much. Back in days, I would read two books in one day and I wouldn’t be able to put a book down because I just needed to finish it.
And now I am in my last year of school and there are only 3 more months left of it and then I am off to university. Naturally, it’s the year of piles of homework, million school books and lessons to learn. Basically, what I am trying to say is that I want to read, but studying is taking up all of my free time. So, today I decided to share with you all my little list of books I want to read till summer ends (give me some slack! I am out of time).
Divergent Trilogy | Yes, I am one of those people who love the movies, but haven’t read the books. Please, don’t hate me. I am sure that this trilogy is even more amazing than movies and hopefully, I will read it soon and be just as obsessed with it as others.
The Hunger Games Trilogy | Yeah, I haven’t read these either. I know, I know. I suck. Anyways, I loved all the movies and Katniss Everdeen is the babe. I want to read the books now and compare them to the movies. Usually, books are better than movies. But I found Harry Potter series quite similar, you know. Books were amazing and movies I really liked too. Those who read The Hunger Games, what are your thought on movies and books?
Judy Astley “Blowing It” | I bought this book a few months ago and I thought I will read it soon. Yeah, right. Few months forward and it’s still picking dust in my book shelve. I tell you, I need more hours in a day. Anyways, what I got from the summary of this book, it’s a story about a family and how things didn’t go as planned for the children because their parents decided to do something unexpected. It sounded very interesting, so I though why the eff not! Have you read this one?
Sophie Hannah “Hurting Distance” | Book praised by all and named as very intense and creepy at times. It’s basically a crime fiction book and I am always up for some crime solving. The summary says that it is about a woman Naomi Jenkins who has a lot of secret about her past and her lover. Her lover vanishes and she thinks he’s in danger. So, she decided to do everything to convince everyone including police that he is in danger. Doesn’t it sound interesting? I love this kind of books, so I am very excited for this one.
James Patterson “1st to Die” | Another crime, detective book. I seriously love everything about detectives’ job and the crimes and all that mystery. Very excited for this book as it is described as the electrifying first novel in a thrilling new series from megaselling James Patterson. They know how to sell books for sure! In summary, it’s a story about homicide inspector Lindsay Boxer from San Francisco and her new case about a brutal maniac who goes on a killing spree murdering newlywed couples. That sounds freaking good to me. I want to read it right now!
Marian Keyes “The Other Side Of The Story” | This one is a bit long one. 648 pages long. It will take longer to read for sure. Basically, this book is about three women: Jojo Harvey – literary agent who falls for her boss who is married; Lily Wright – Jojo’s client who is struggling with her second novel; and Gemma Hogan – Lily’s ex-best friend since she stole love of Gemma’s life whose funny tales come to the attention of literary agent Jojo Harvey who takes Gemma on as a client. I think that is enough for me to want to read this book. I can imagine how funny it will be.
