A Walk Around The Port of Gdynia, Poland

A Walk Around The Port of Gdynia, Poland

When I visited my friend who lives in Gdansk a few weeks ago, we also decided to visit a city called Gdynia what is famous for its port. So we hoped in SKM, which costs around 4 zlotys per person to get from Gdansk to Gdynia, and went to explore the famous port. The sight left us breathless and surprised in a good way. The weather was perfect that day, the sun was shining and the sky wasn’t fully clear. The only downside was that it was a bit cold, so we wouldn’t stand still for a long time.

The whole port was filled with thousands of boats. If you love a seaside and sailing, this port is perfect for you. You could hear masts of boats making this squeaky sounds that I found quite relaxing in a weird way. There were all kinds of birds everywhere, from swans to seagulls. The whole place basically screamed ‘photograph me!!!’ and I somehow managed to leave my camera at home. I don’t know how I could be so stupid or careless but I did and I was regretting it the whole day. Good thing that phones these days take kind of decent photos and I managed to take a few nice shots for your enjoyment.

We walked along the seaside of Baltic sea, then climbed on top of this little hill so we could see the whole sea a bit better. It looked so mightily and powerful. We couldn’t stop admiring it and I honestly felt like a little girl all over again who saw the sea for the first time with her own eyes. At moments like this we realise how truly small we are and how little all of our problems are compared to this huge beauty. I don’t know about you but I find the seaside the best place to just unwind, relax, and let go of all my problems. There’s just something magical and calming about a sea to me.
