My Favorite Color | A Little Bit Of Motivspiration

We all have a favourite colour. Mine is yellow

I love yellow. I love how bright and fun it is. I love how the sun is this colour. I love that it represents happiness, joy, intellect and good energy. And that’s why I adore this colour. I have been in love with it since I was a little girl with a horrible haircut.

There’s an unspoken rule in this world that we SHOULD wear our favorite color. We should have things, furniture in that color. Basically, we should have everything in that color. However, I do not follow into that category of people who wholeheartedly worship their favorite color (clap every time I say ‘favorite color’)

This post came from me getting tired of people saying “but you don’t own anything in yellow” once they hear that I love this color. Why would I need to get everything in that color to love it? Do I need to prove my choice of color to people by wearing things in it? I don’t get it. Do you? Another thing I am wondering is why YOU chose the color you chose as your favorite? Why is it your favorite? Does it have any meaning behind it?

Once you walk into my room, you probably won’t stop a single item in that colour. Well, there are few things there and there but my room certainly doesn’t look like sun vomited on it. And if you opened my closet, you wouldn’t find yellow there too. Not a single sock, top or blazer. I do not own anything in yellow. And that’s not because I hate how it looks, it’s just because I don’t feel the need to buy an item just because it’s yellow and yellow just so happens to be my favourite colour (CLAP!).

Now you are probably thinking: “Leta, what the hell are you on about?”. The whole point of this post is to show that you don’t have to have it to love it. And I’m not talking about favourite colours (CLAP!) anymore. You don’t need to go to a concert to enjoy the music. You don’t have to buy the most expensive high-end products to be good at makeup. You don’t have to buy that blouse just because it’s very trendy now to be stylish. And you certainly don’t need to have a flat stomach, gap or any other crap to be beautiful.

I could go on for ages about this topic but I shall make it short today. It’s okay if you like blue and you own lots of things in this colour and it’s perfectly okay if you like navy and you don’t own a single item in that colour. Favourite colour shouldn’t define the colour choice in the things you own, it should define your personality and your beliefs. Take me for example, I love yellow because it represents joy, happiness. My main goal in life is to be happy. That’s why my favourite colour (CLAP) is yellow.

What is your favourite colour? Why?
